Meaning of Judgement : Judgement means the observation and decision of court of law in respect of a particular case after conclusion of a trial. Content of Judgement : Every Judgement - Shall be written in the language of the court. Shall contain the point or points for determination, the decision there on and the reason for the decision. Shall specify the offence of which and section of The Indian Penal Code, 1860 or other law under which the accused is convicted and the punishment to which he is sentenced. If the Judgement is of acquittal, it shall state the offence, of which the accused is acquitted and direct that he be set at liberty section 354(1). Fundamental Duties

INTRODUCTION:-

Prior to the 42th amendment of the constitution which came into force on 1st February,1977,there was no provision in the constitution dealing with the fundamental duties of a citizen.This article for the first time specifies a code of ten fundamental duties for citizens.Article 51A says that it shall be the duty of every citizen of India.                            

1)To abide by constitution and respect its deal and institutions the national flag and national anthem.                                                                           
2)To cherish and follow the noble ideas which inspired our national struggle for freedom.      3)To uphold and protect the sovereignty,unity and integrity of India.                                      4)To defend the country and render national service when called upon to do so.                    5)To promote harmony and the spirit of common brotherhood amongest all the people of India transcending religious, linguistic and regional or sectional diversities to renounce derogatory to the dignity of women.                             
6)To value and preserve the right heritage of our composite culture.                                      
7)To protect and improve the natural environment including forests,lakes,rivers and wild life and to have compassion for living creature.                                                                            
8)To develop the scientific temper,humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform.                            
9)To safeguard public property and to violence.
10)To strive towards excellence in all spheres of individual and collective activity so that the nation constantly rises to higher levels of endeavor and achievements.                                       

                                                     The constitution 86th amendment Act 2002 has added a new clause (k) to Article 51A which provides "who is parent or guardian to provide opportunities for education to his child or as the case may be,ward between the age of 6 and 14 years."     
    
                                                  

NEED FOR FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES: -

Rights and duties are co-relative.They are therefore, intended to serve as a constant reminder to every citizen that while the constitution specifically conferred on them certain fundamental rights,it also requires citizens to observe certain basis norms of democratic conduct and democratic behavior.By the preamble,the constitution sources to all the citizens:"liberty of thought,expression,belief,faith,worship".This are  fundamental rights guaranteed by the constitution are not absolute rights.The state is empowered to impose reasonable restriction and curtail these rights in the interest of the society.Restriction may sometimes amount to prohibitions.
